Interview - DUAL-COMA

Martín: Hi There! Introduce DUAL-COMA to our readers and tell us about your new album “Reprogramed H.A.T.E.” which contains different stuff of the band.

Maciej: Hello. We are a Post-Metalcore band from Katowice – Poland. We are playing together since 2004. Reprogrammed H.A.T.E. is our first official CD which contains material from our promo “Program H.A.T.E.” and our latest single “Bulletproof Heart”.

M: Your sound is a mix between styles such as Thrash, Metalcore, Death... What are your influences?

M: In our music, you can find lot of influences such as: metalcore, thrash, death. We are listening to the bands like: Killswitch Engage, Slipknot, Soilwork, In Flames and much more. We also listen to the lighter stuff like a Breaking Benjamin, Seven Dust, 30 Seconds to Mars, Further Seems Forever, Porcupine Tree. All these styles have reflection on music that we create.

M: How is the process of create that kind of music?

M: If one of us have created nice riff, we all listening to it and trying to add other instruments and vocals. When we feel that what we have created kicks our asses and give us lots of energy and satisfaction, we are pleased with our work.

M: Talking about the lyrics, what themes inspire the songs?

M: “Reprogrammed H.A.T.E.” was inspired with post-nuclear vision of the world.
The lyrics show the brutality of the meaningless war in dirty world - full of radiation. This is a God forsaken area, where people are confused and doesn’t known which direction is right to go. This is the place of cyber-chaos.



M: The album includes a music video for the song “Bulletproof Heart”. How was the experience of filming a video?

M: It was really great fun for us. We have made it all by ourselves. We discover the taste of artificial blood, and we can play in movie, hehe. It took us one day, that we have spend outside of town. We have only one camera, homemade stands, laptop and software to put it all together.

M: What can we expect about DUAL-COMA´s live on stage?

M: Everything. A powerful injection of a good energy and fun!!!

M: How do you see Metal scene in Poland today?

M: There are lots of very good bands that can’t find the label and stays in the underground. And there are also the bands that find a label only because of their image and controversial lyrics. And it is not always followed by a good playing.

M: Your Top Five albums?
